Q. Are you a member of ABTA? is our holiday money protected?
A. We are full members of ABTA, the Association of British Travel Agents, and are ATOL Protected. This offers you clear complete peace of mind that your holiday money is safe in our hands.
Q. Your prices are very competitive against the bigger Holiday Companies. How do you do it?
A. The three main reasons we are competitive are:
- We feel we have to be able to get your attention. When GlobewiseTravel was formed this was one of our main aims and we therefore planned our overheads around being able to offer the same holidays in an equal standard of accommodation at a better price. The Managing Director of Globewise Travel / Ace Travel spent fifteen years employed by the big three companies and knew where savings could be made.
- We sell direct to the customer and not through a Travel agent. The big four companies also sell through Travel Agents and thus have to build between 15 - 22% commission into their prices. Obviously we are a profit making company and as such we have to put a markup on all the properties we use from other tour operators and accommodation providers, however we always attempt to ensure that our prices are lower than our competitors. It is also cheaper to book directly online as booking by the telephone will incur higher prices.
- We are now a brochure less holiday company. It is much cheaper for us to work and update our website regularly, than to print a brochure based on facts that are 12 month's old by the time our customers see them. We also save on printing costs and postage which we feel we reflect in our prices. Q. Can I request a brochure?
A. No we do not print them. If you feel there is something not covered in the literature on our website please let us know. If you feel you would like to see specific images please let us know. The internet enables us to update, change and review our sales policy in an instant. A brochure is limited by timescales to accuracy and print costs as to what we can show you about our holidays.
